An efficient solution for lower costs and more circular economy

By processing glass bottles into sand or granulate, Glass Upcycler not only reduces waste volumes, but also lowers storage requirements, transport costs and CO2 emissions.

Scalable

From the glass container at the bar to the processing plant: the Glass Upcycler is modular, space-saving and scalable.

Recyclable

Waste glass is turned into a high-quality secondary material that can be used as an additive, filter material or for new glass products.

Value-adding

Even contaminated, mixed or labelled glass is completely recycled – opening up new potential for fractions that were previously non-recyclable.

For all types of glass waste – wherever it accumulates

  • Wine bottles & champagne bottles
  • Beer bottles & longneck glass
  • Spirit bottles & pharmacy bottles
  • Water bottles & glass containers for soft drinks
  • Medical glass & laboratory waste
  • Mixed glass fractions & contaminated waste glass

Up to 70% cost savings through efficient local processing

By upcycling glass locally, companies and industries can reduce their transport and disposal costs and thus save up to 70%.

95%

Every piece of glass that is not sent to landfill saves resources, space and CO2. The Glass Upcycler creates a local, economic circular economy.

75%

Decentralised processing eliminates energy-intensive transport and reduces CO2 emissions by up to 75% – ideal for companies with ESG targets and sustainability strategies.

1,400t

Processing of 100 to 1,400 tonnes of glass waste per year – suitable for industry, glass manufacturing and use in road construction.

How glass waste is converted into sand

Glass bottles become raw materials. Waste becomes value. See how the Glass Upcycler reimagines your glass waste – turning it into sand or granulate.

Filling & initial sorting

Bottles, jars or mixed glass are fed directly into the feed opening – manually, via conveyor belt or big bags. No pre-treatment (e.g. rinsing or separation) is required.

Filling

Shredding & preparation

The glass is mechanically crushed and pulverised, coarse foreign matter is removed and the glass is ground to a defined grain size. This step increases the efficiency of subsequent processing.

Shredding

Issuing & Storage

The refined glass mineral is automatically unloaded, temporarily stored or filled directly into big bags. It is ready for immediate use, e.g. in construction, in the glass industry or for beach restoration.

Issue

Sustainable application

The glass mineral obtained replaces natural sand or primary raw materials. This enables companies to reduce their carbon footprint and promote closed material cycles – locally, measurably and in an environmentally friendly way.
